Phoenix Solar Signs Deal with Burgerservice

Phoenix Solar Energy Investments AG has signed an agreement with Burgerservice GmbH for the development of ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) plants. Under this agreement Buergerservice GmbH will develop PV projects for Phoenix Solar Energy Investments in the region of Trier, Germany over the next two years. The ground-mounted power plants will have peak outputs of between 1 and 10 megawatts (MW).

Phoenix plans to build these power plants in 2008 and 2009 and then sell them as turn-key plants to German and foreign investors. The projected volume of the projects comes to around EUR 100 million [US $145 million]. Along with its project development, Bürgerservice will be involved in the construction of the power plants.
