Utility company Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG (EnBW) has acquired offshore wind farm companies Eos Offshore AG and Offshore Ostsee Wind AG. Both companies are subsidiaries of wpd offshore GmbH and hold the rights to offshore wind developments.

Sputnik Ramps Up German Operations

Sputnik Engineering GmbH has transferred its operations from Stockach to Neuhausen, Germany. Sputnik Engineering plans to manufacture a total of 275 megawatts of inverters this year at the new facility.

GE Signs 300-MW Turbine Deal with Iberdrola

Iberdrola will acquire 200 General Electric 1.5-megawatt (MW) wind turbines for delivery in 2010 for projects in the United States. The U.S. projects related to the turbine deal have a total cost of development of around EUR 430 million [US $677.5 million], Iberdrola said.
